Why is this time-span so important to you as business owner or child of this era?

The United States experienced an "explosion" of births after American soldiers returned home from World War II. The sociologists define those born between (and including) 1946 and 1964 as "baby boomers."

In 1946, when births went from 2.8 to 3.4 million. The end of the boom is not as clear, however. Perhaps that delineation was marked when annual births dropped below 4 million (1964). The point is...

Every 8.5 Seconds another Boomer turns 50 yrs old.

Bill Geist who noted first (in 1997) in his book "The Big 5-Oh" that another boomer turns 50 every 7 seconds. Whew! Is that possible? Well, you don't have to be a math major to check it out. Let's look at 50 years ago - 1959 - when 4,245,000 boomers were born. Now, I suppose that some of them have not made it this far, so let's round it down to 4,000,000. (That's just my estimate, but it is close enough for my purposes here.) So, a bit more than 4,000,000 will turn 50 in 2009. Let's see how that breaks down:

per year: 4,000,000

per day (4.0 mil / 365): 10,958

per hour (10.6 k / 24): 456

per minute (456 / 60): 7.1

And 7.1 per minute amounts to one every 8.5 seconds.

The biggest year of the boom was 1957, when 4.3 million boomers were born. Boomers today represent 28% of the U.S. population. But in 1964, they represented about 40% of the population. In other words, in 1964 more than a third of the population was under 19 years old! No wonder the baby boomers attracted so much attention and shaped the way trends moved through this progressive cycle.

Opportunity

During all cycles of the enconomy there are people who are making money and losing money. The makers, are the ones in front of large trends; the losers disregard trends. So how do you get in front of large trends? You study what creates them.

Without any hesitation, in today's society its "The Baby Boom Generation" that creates the largest trends. Between 1946-1964 there were 76 million of them born in the US and 1 billion worldwide. Why is this group so talked about?

1. It started with a barley known company called Gerber in 1940. By 1955, just ten years after the Boomers were born Gerber sold 1.8 billion jars of baby food.

2. As the Boomers took their first steps it was "Buster Brown and Kenny's Shoes."

3. When the Boomers went out to play is was "Matel and Hasbro" got rich creating toys for this young group.

4. In 1957, we built more elementary schools in the US, in one year, just to handle the overflow than we did in any 12 year period before or after.

5. As the Boomers went through their teens; Dairy Queen, McDonalds, and Kentucky Fried Chicken became billion dollar companies feeding the Boomers.

6. When the Boomers moved through their 20's and 30's, which was in the mid 1970's, what was the industry to be in? Real Estate. Why? Because the Boomers heard one too many times from their parents, "As long as you're living under my roof, you'll do as I say." So they went under their own roof, which created a 15 year real estate boom. "People are still talking today about that great time-frame to be in real estate."

Anticipating a good laugh may reduce stress hormones

San Diego, California

Just looking forward to a good laugh can reduce three stress hormones, researchers from Loma Linda University
reported at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the American Physiological Society.

Earlier studies by the same researchers showed that anticipating laughter increased health-protective hormones:
beta-endorphins by 27 percent and human growth hormone by 87 percent.

In the current study, 16 males were divided into two groups: a control group and a group that was anticipating a
humorous event such as watching a comedy. Blood was taken from participants before the event, four times during
the event and three times after the event. Results showed a reduction in three stress hormones – cortisol, epinephrine
and dopac – for those in the anticipation group. Stress hormone levels progressively decreased through the event.

According to lead researcher, Dr. Lee Berk, "Our findings lead us to believe that by seeking out positive experiences
that make us laugh, we can do a lot with our physiology to stay well."

Solutions and Benefits for the Ambit Representative

This article contains useful information to the benefit of the Network Marketer without Hype, Distractions and Wordiness. There is a 99.9% chance you are building your Ambit Business via purchasing LEADS. Then converting these leads into Ambit Reps, such as yourself, in order to create a downline through various levels. This process is typical throughout the industry, with a different wrapping. They scream DUPLICATION, DUPLICATION, and more DUPLICATION. Buying Leads is the foundation of this model. Ironically, Buying Leads is the obstacle that stands in the way of success for the average marketer. Why? Because most unspecting newbie marketers want nothing to do with learning the art of sales. Cold-Calling Leads is a brutal task you MUST endure to be successful in the typical MLM model.

If you purchased 10,000 Leads, well you do the math concerning time management. And that's just it. We consider our time just as valuable as money. After calling 100 leads and getting 100 rejections, that's 2 to 3 hours we will never get back. Common sense tells us this concept does not add value to our life and we discontinue the practice. The average marketer will jump from one opportunity to the next hoping Leads are not the foundation to become successful. Unfortunately they come to find out that it is. They try once more to put on the sales hat, this time they'll purcahse some motivational tape or book to stay the course. And in the end, they are back where they started, frustrated without any returns on their venture.

So what's the solution?

Business Tidbit of the day - Location, location, location; this is the anthem of every successful Real Estate venture. So what would be the equivalent for a successful Online Business? I would argue that it could very well be; Customers, customers, customers. Online Marketing has lost it's innocence by reason of the multitude of scams and ridiculous programs that flooded the industry. Venturing into these waters can be very nerve racking and tentative for the seasoned and novice opportunist. Reputation, stability and adaptation will interest the skeptic which is key to surviving in this industry. There's an old concept that is emerging ever so quietly in this industry and it will change the core of the typical MLM theory.

How much more appealing would it be if you could bypass the Leads dilemma and purchase already existing customers? I am talking about customers already buying product and is handled by professional sales reps within the company. If everthing else remains the same but for this simple change, would this add value to your life as an inspiring successful marketer?

This is my recommendation:

- To acquire customers, you simply purchase them on an regular basis from your parent company. You do not have to market to them, you do not have to follow up with them, you do not have to process their orders, you do not have to babysit them in any way. These are people who like the products, who purchase the products on a regular basis, and most likely have little or no interest in starting a home business. But that's OK, because you get commissions from their orders. Want more customers? Just buy them!

- You work as part of a powerful team to market your business opportunity on the internet. You focus not on acquiring customers. but on getting good quality leads who are interested in joining your business as a distributor and participating in the team effort.

There is a system available on the internet today that makes the above scenarios possible. I know, because I experience this daily. And it sure is great not to have to worry about marketing to acquire customers. All I do is buy them! This provides me with a growing source of reliable income while I concentrate on acquiring new business partners. The system is called the Its Good Business model.
